Vintage Berkey & Gay Sheraton Style Sideboard

Item Details

A vintage, circa 1920s, Berkey & Gay Sheraton style sideboard. The sideboard has a short rail along the back with an arched center. The top has a beveled edge, and it rests on eight legs. The front legs are fluted and reeded. The back legs are square and straight. There is a hand-painted dovetailed drawer at the top center, embellished with flower swags and ornate brass escutcheons with pierced flower and wreath motifs. Below the top drawer is a deeper, bow-front dovetailed drawer with a beaded panel and ornate ring pulls. To either side of the drawers is a pair of cabinets with center ring pulls. The interior of one drawer has a metal label marked ‘Berkey & Gay Furniture – Style Supremacy – Value Leadership – Pringle’s Downtown Store’ and a second circular metal label marked with ‘Berkey & Gay Furniture’.

• Please be advised, furniture items must be picked up and removed by winning bidder during the scheduled pick-up time on pick-up day. A moving charge will be incurred by winning bidders for any items not picked up. If winning bidder chooses to not have the item moved for alternate pick-up, the winning bidder will incur a disposal fee to have the item removed.
