Vintage Jensen Model J Tombstone Tube Radio with Embossed Leather Front

Item Details

A vintage Jensen Model J tombstone radio with embossed leather front. This tube radio features an embossed leather front with ornate floral and arabesque designs throughout and grill to the front of the speaker. The front includes an embossed metal plaque marked ‘Audiola’ to the top of the dial. The exterior sides and top are finished with a fabric on plywood construction and the back is uncovered. The interior speaker is marked ‘Jensen’ and ‘Model J’ with additional illegible lettering.

Condition

- tears to the front mesh; extensive wear to the fabric on plywood exterior casing; scuffs and scrapes to the leather; oxidation to the interior metal; missing knobs to the tuner and volume controls; untested.
