Vintage Chippendale Style Secretary

Item Details

A vintage Chippendale style secretary. This rectangular top piece with walnut stain features a pierced, broken scroll pediment with finial over two cabinet doors with glass panes and mullions opening to two shelves over a series of petite drawers and storage compartments. The lower base features a slanted drop front panel with escutcheon opening to additional storage compartments and drawers over two aligned drawers flanked by sliding rail supports above three full width, stacked, graduating drawers. The drawers feature brass plates and bail handles. This piece terminates on bracket feet with carved acanthus leaf embellishments. There are no visible maker’s marks.
