19th-Century Gilt Bronze Classical Man Sculpture

Item Details

A late 19th-century gilt bronze sculpture of a classical figure in a seated position. The man appears with a stern face and his hand to his chin in a contemplative state. The torch in his right hand spill over with a raised portion in the ground below. Fittings to the underside and the drilled hole in the ground may indicate the sculpture use a lamp at one point.

- minor gilt loss present throughout; scratches and marks present throughout.
