A Japanese bronze depicting a kneeling Geisha playing a reeded instrument similar to a Sho. The figure’s draped garments are richly done in an allover floral relief, beautifully folded and overlapped at the back. The female figure wears upswept hair and a serene expression. The edge at the back of the robes appears to be numbered 66916.
