Chinese Reverse Painted Glass Snuff Bottles
Item Details
A grouping of two Chinese reverse painted glass snuff bottles. The smaller displays a figural scene on either side with polychrome enamel foliate designs appear up the sides and around the neck. The larger bottle has an erotic scene to one side and calligraphic text to the other. The black case glass is etched and gilt with foliate forms. Both have amber colored resin stoppers.
Condition
- small chip on one side of the smaller; minute chip around the rip of the larger; faint scratches and marks present throughout.
