Vintage Renaissance Revival Style Etched Glass and Silver Plate Decanter Set

A vintage Renaissance Revival style etched glass and silver plate decanter set. The set consists of three wedge-shaped, clear glass bottles, each of which is topped by a figural, cork-lined stopper. The shoulders are etched ‘Brandy’, ‘Whiskey’, and ‘Gin’ and the undersides are faintly marked ‘Patented’. Supporting the bottles is a round, silver plate base with pierced sides adorned with grape bunches, leaves, and putti holding floral festoons. The underside is stamped with a clover, a crown, and a leaf.

Condition

- some minor surface wear throughout; base has faint markings and significant tarnishing with slightly heavier wear to plating on the underside; some light scratches to bottles; whiskey bottle with a polished chip on back of spout.
