Early 20th Century Slag Glass Table Lamp

Item Details

An early 20th century slag glass table lamp. The lamp is topped by a pyramid-form, glass shade comprised of four caramel-colored panels with openwork, foliate overlay along the drop border. The shade rests on a patinated, single-socket base cast with stylized and scrolled, foliate motifs. There are no maker’s marks; however, the underside is numbered ‘329’.

Condition

- lamp powered on when tested; one slag glass panel with a large crack; another panel with a smaller crack; drop border of shade with a few small breaks to metal; some other minor surface wear as would be expected; re-wired at some point.
