An antique English mahogany cylinder desk. This late 19th century mahogany veneer cylinder desk on two pedestals has a moulded raised edge around three sides of the top below which is the solid lifting cylinder lid of the desk which rests on two pedestals each with three veneered drawers with two turned mahogany knobs each, both of the pedestals on raised rounded corner veneered plinths. The interior of the desk being well fitted, with seven pigeon holes in the center flanked by small drawers on either side, one over the other, with one of the small drawers on the right missing, over a large pull out slide to make the writing surface, with lift up doors for storage of either side of the adjustable incline writing surface with a large storage space beneath.
