A hand-knotted Bijar wool area rug. This rug features a central diamond medallion with two palmette pendants. An all over herati pattern field in a palette of cream, rose, peach, terracotta, teal and black are surrounded by a geometric border with spandrels including florets. It is framed by carnation guard borders and teal selvedges with natural warp fringe to the ends.
