F.W. Simmons Signed Portrait Painting in Oil of Woodrow Wilson

A portrait painting in oil on canvas of Woodrow Wilson by artist Freeman Willis Simmons (-1926). The painting depicts President Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) as a young man. The bespectacled figure appears in a suit and tie against a rich red backdrop. The painting is inscribed with a signature to the lower left. It is presented in a gold tone frame with cast embellishments, including a plaque on the lower portion of the frame inscribed with subject and artist. The verso of this piece is equipped to hang.
Condition
- there are four small repairs to the lower portion of the canvas.
