Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, ivory, deep sepia, terracotta, wine, sage, and cornsilk. The deep sepia colored field features a bold cranberry ashik medallion infilled with a central medallion and geometric motifs, while featuring chained rows of florettes and kaikalak motifs. Framing the field is a two-petal calyx meander main border with running water guard borders. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges and a natural warp fringe to the ends. Labeled to the underside.
