An oil on canvas landscape painting by listed American artist James C. Magee. The Impressionistic painting depicts a forested landscape in early autumn, rendered in loose impasto brushstrokes. The work is signed in black to the lower right. Presented in a fine gold tone wood frame with beige linen and gold tone liners. A hanging wire is present to the verso.
Condition
- canvas has lost some tension. Stains and accretion to verso. Minor wear to frame finish.
