Item Details
A Japanese watercolor and gouache painting on silk of an egret. The painting on beige silk depicts a small gray and white egret on a branch over water and a willow branch hanging above the bird. It is signed with calligraphy and a seal to the lower right and is mounted with a silk brocade border in a painted black wood frame that is fitted with a sawtooth hanger.
Condition
- minor stains to the silk; light colored horizontal slubs throughout the painting; stain to the bottom right of the border; areas of the frame finish are scratched and peeling.
