1940s "War Wings" Coca-Cola Wood Carrier

A 1940s ‘War Wings’ Coca-Cola wood carrier with six empty bottles. Referred as the ‘War Wings’ carrier, which was produced during the American WWII, this vintage carrier retains its original red painted wood handle. The carrier is constructed of wood with painted on Coca-Cola red slogans. With reinforced metal side strips, one of the carrier’s sides reads ‘Pause Go Refreshed’ with the ‘war wings’ logo. There are six empty Coca-Cola glass bottles including three clear and two green in color. The clear bottles. read ‘Soda Water’ with an embossed star symbol. The clear bottles also have ‘Property Of Coca-Cola’ marked on the bottom. Dade City, Fl, is also embossed on the bottles of the two green bottles with ‘Gilbert Soda Water’ marked at the top.

Condition

Good-Fair Condition with paint loss and discoloration from service wear. Splitting of the wood. Soiling and staining. Wear consistent with age. The bottles exhibit bottom wear.
