A handwoven tapestry. The tapestry is handmade from Brazil, and made of silk and worked in shades of turquoise, aqua, camel, sky blue, indigo, and espresso in a pattern of vertical stripes. The stripes have been created by the weaver using the warp threads. The horizontal woven rows alternate between spun fiber and natural fiber in the form of thin reeds. The raw edges of the reeds extend beyond the woven fabric and become a decorative detail. It could also be used as a table runner.
