Item Details

In Plate

An etching titled La Cathedrale de Reims by well listed American artist Louis Orr (1879-1961). This print depicts the facade of the cathedral at Reims, a high gothic cathedral that dates from 1211. Orr was commissioned by the French government to create etchings of the cathedral because of widespread fear of destruction due to German bombing during the Great War.
