An offset lithograph gallery poster on paper for a 1978 exhibit titled Fans from the East at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The piece features an image after a 1797 ukiyo-e print by listed Japanese artist Kitagawa Utamaro (1753 – 1806) titled Woman with a Fan, with a signature in plate located to the center right. It is matted in tan and presented under glass in a wooden frame fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- some toning to print; minor scratching and edge wear to frame; residue to glass; tears to frame’s backing paper.
