Vintage Chinese Brass Box and Cast Iron Teapot
Item Details
A pairing of vintage Chinese decor including a brass box and a cast iron teapot. The box features gilt bats, flowers, and butterfly designs on white enamel fields with a central circular medallion and triangular accents to the corners of the rectangular brass body. It has four rounded feet and a fitted interior with two storage spaces. The teapot features an oblate cast iron form with a curved handle and decorative medallions to the exterior. There are no visible maker’s marks to the pieces.
Condition
- tarnish to brass box throughout; some rust to teapot especially to the underside.
