An original 1861 watercolor painting on paper attributed to listed American artist William A. Coulter (1849 – 1936). The painting depicts a woman helping a young boy get a drink from her wooden bucket, as a small goat vies for her attention. The work is signed and dated to the lower right, and a label from Conn Galleries in North Carolina is attached to the verso. Presented behind an ivory mat with a red liner, under glass, in a gold tone and black wood frame. A wire hanger is present to the verso.
Condition
- toning to painting. Abrasions and wear to frame finish.
