A set of sterling silver flatware for twelve by Towle. This is in the Debussy pattern, first introduced in 1959, which features shaped handles with scrolled edges. The 106-piece set includes twelve dinner forks, twelve salad forks, twelve iced tea spoons, twenty-four teaspoons, twelve soup spoons, six serving spoons, a ladle, a meat fork, and a sugar spoon, all marked ‘Towle’ and ‘Sterling’ to the backs. They are presented with twelve dinner knives, twelve butter spreaders, and a pie server with sterling handles and stainless blades, marked on the blades ‘Towle Sterling Handle Stainless Blade’. Each has a personalized engraving to the handle. They are presented in a wooden flatware chest with brown Pacific Silvercloth felt-like interior lining. The total approximate weight, excluding dinner knives, butter spreaders, and pie server, is 131.715 ozt.
