C.W. Fryer Signed Oil Painting of a Landscape at Sunset

A signed oil painting on canvas board of a landscape at sunset by well listed American artist Calvin Wilberforce Fryer (1867-1941). This painting depicts a summer forest at sunset with a river in the foreground. The artist has used thick paint in select areas. The painting is signed in red to the lower right. It is presented in a gold-tone composite frame. The verso of this piece is equipped to hang.
Condition
- there is a very small gap where the canvas applied to the board does not quite reach the edge. The artist has painted the original painting over the edge of the canvas and onto a sliver of the board.
