Item Details

An antique French Sevres style hand-painted porcelain vase. This piece features a pair of curved handles which rise above the rim and stretch below the shoulder. The vase tapers sharply towards the base, flaring to rest on a pedestal foot. The porcelain body boasts a classical figural vignette of a courting scene, signed ‘P. Roche’ to the lower right. The opposite side features a colorful floral bouquet. It is accented with pink trim and copious gilt filigree details throughout. The piece is finished with a pierced metal rim and handles molded with foliate detail. A metal band accents the lower body and the scalloped, footed base.
