An antique hand knotted Persian Kurd area rug. This wool rug features Kurdish writing on a rectangular field in a palette of red, blue, indigo, sage and gold. The field is surrounded by Mosul major border with Herati minor borders. One end has natural warp off-white fringe. The rug is unmarked.
