An antique engraving on paper printed circa 1800 for publication in Christian Ludwig Stieglitz’s (German, 1756 – 1836) publication Zeichnungen Aus Der Schönen Baukunst Oder Darstellung Idealischer Und Ausgeführter Gebäude Mit Ihren Grund- Und Aufrissen: Auf 100 Kupfertafeln., which translates to Drawings From Beautiful Architecture Or Representation Of Ideal And Executed Buildings With Their Ground Plans And Elevations: On 100 Copper Plates. This print was Plate 50 in the publication and depicts an ornate buildings with carved figural statues, columns, and a wide arched doorway. The engraving is double-matted in gray-green and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.

Condition

- light foxing and yellowing to print, consistent with age.
