Indo-Persian Miniature Gouache Painting on Paper of Sufi Whirling Dervishes
Item Details
An Indo-Persian miniature gouache painting. on paper. The painting, rendered in flat color and intricate detail, features two Sufi whirling dervishes dancing in their traditional dress of white robes and red hats. An inscription is hand written in ink across the top edge. Matted in blue with a white liner, and presented behind glass, clipped to a foam core backing, ready to hang with twine.
Condition
- residue to mat and reverse of glass to left side. Toning, stains and light creasing to painting.
