Four Indo-Persian Miniature Gouache Paintings on Paper of Whirling Dervishes
Item Details
A grouping of four Indo-Persian miniature gouache paintings on paper. Each painting, rendered in flat color and intricate detail, features the Sufi whirling dervishes dancing in their traditional dress. Two of the paintings are accented with gold tone leaf, and each has an inscription hand written in ink. All four are matted in either red or green with colored liners. They are presented behind glass, clipped to a foam core backing, and are ready to hang with twine.
Condition
- toning and light creasing to paintings. Stains throughout paintings and mats. One piece has a crack to lower left corner of glass. One mat is buckled.

- measures each frame. Largest painting measures 6.75" W x 9.0" H.
