An original ink and watercolor illustration on wove paper by well-listed Cincinnati-based genre artist Robert Fabe (1917 – 2004). The painting depicts a female figure wearing a tunic with a small bow at the collar. Her neck is elongated in a surreal manner, ending in her solemn face and short, dark bob. She is painted in sepia shades of black, brown, and gray and is set against a stark white background. The painting is signed in ink to the lower right. It is double-matted in beige and presented behind glass in a thin wooden frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.

- painting is slightly yellowed to edges.
