An original late-19th century watercolor painting on paper by listed German-American artist Cordelia A Bushnell Plimpton (Cincinnati, 1830 – 1886). The painting depicts two gray goats wandering across a grassy farmyard. A large stack of hay stands behind the animals, and tall trees painted in short, bright strokes surround them. The painting is signed in black to the lower right. It is matted in white with a gold tone filet and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with brushed gold tone finish with a hanging wire attached to the verso. Condition
- light yellowing to paper. It seems the painting was ripped to its lower edge and repaired/inpainted.
