Six Antique Dutch Marquetry Dining Chairs

A set of six antique Dutch marquetry dining chairs. These walnut veneered chairs feature balloon backs and vase-shaped splats over upholstered seats with Napoleonic bee pattern. The backs and splats feature scrolled floral marquetry in satinwood. The upholstery has a green ground with machine embroidered winged bees in gold and ivory and a nailhead trim. The chairs rise on front French legs joined by serpentine aprons.
