A handwoven Senneh wool kilim accent rug. This flatweave rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, rose, ivory, sapphire, cranberry, teal, camel, and charcoal. The indigo to black colored field features an irregularly shaped diamond lozenge with a rose colored diamond medallion infilled with small repeated flower motifs. The lozenge is infilled with floral motifs as well and both feature stepped comb borders, while the indigo field also features an all-over Kurdish style herati pattern. Framing the field are comb patterns to the edges along with chained medallion patterned borders, while the ends feature simple stripes and chained patterns. Finishing this unique rug are overcast selvedges and a short natural warp fringe to the ends, along with a supportive cotton band to the underside. Unlabeled.
