An oil painting on board titled Sunset by Carbondale by contemporary American artist Stephen Smalzel. The painting depicts a wide green meadow and the purple hills in the distance bathed in the soft light of sunset. The piece is signed to the lower right and a label from the Miller Gallery of Cincinnati, Ohio is attached to the verso. Presented in a gold tone and brown wood frame with a hanging wire to the verso.
