An original watercolor painting on paper by listed artist Ludwig Mestler (Massachusetts/Austria; 1891 – 1959). The abstract painting features a mountainous landscape rendered in energetic graphite line work in and horizontal bands of watercolor washes. The piece is unsigned, and has a label to the verso from the Joan Peterson Gallery with the artist’s name and the medium. Presented behind an ivory linen mat, under glass, in a stained wood frame. A wire hanger is present to the verso.

- toning to painting. Small tear to upper left corner. Wear to paper edges. Abarasions and wear to frame.
