A Hwa Tah hand-knotted, carved Chinese rug made from wool pile. The rug features hand-carved embellishments including two, large floral medallions at adjacent outer corners and a large floral and leaf border. Tones of deep blue to the outer border, light blue and lilac-gray to the inner border, and cream field, with pastel tones of blue, pink-mauve, cream, plum, peach, brown, green and yellow to the medallions and the floral and leaf border. Fringe at both short ends. Marked in Chinese characters Hwa Tah to the lower corner in light blue-gray.
