An original oil painting on paper by well listed modern landscape artist Stephen Pentak (Ohio, b. 1951), signed to the lower left hand corner, and dated at the right 1998, 11, 2, painted on Arches Aquarelle. The artist has articulated a lovely purple/yellow sunset, above placid lake waters. The scene is framed in a horizontally long rectangle, on a sheet of paper that is much larger than the image itself. The large white margin allows the viewer the opportunity to focus in on the painting. The painting is floated on a white background in a wonderfully minimal wooden frame with a light natural stain. Some light scratching and nicking to frame edges, most notably along the right side.
