A signed limited edition offset lithographic print after the original watercolor painting by well-listed and internationally acclaimed American wildlife artist and naturalist, John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati; born 1924), titled Union Terminal: Christmas 1939, created specifically for the gift shops at the Museum Center of Cincinnati. The image depicts a male and female cardinal in flight in the cold winter air, passing by the magnificent Art Deco architecture of the Union Terminal, the land covered in a thick mantle of snow. Artist signature is printed in plate and hand-signed in pencil to the lower left, and is numbered 234 in an edition of 1000 to lower right. The print is mounted behind a beige mat with gold tone and tortoise-like bordering. It sits under glass in a rounded wood frame with a gold toned bordering and hanging wire.
