Gorham "Rondo" Sterling Silver Flatware Set

A sterling silver flatware set by Gorham. This is in the James Russell Price designed Rondo pattern, first introduced in 1951, which features a scrolled handle with rosette accented tip. The sixty-five piece set includes eight salad forks, eight dinner forks, eight soup spoons, fifteen teaspoons, three tablespoons, a place spoon, a sugar spoon, a master butter knife, a pierced tablespoon, and a meat fork, all marked to the backs ‘Gorham Sterling Rondo’. They are presented with eight butter spreaders, eight dinner knives, and a pair of wooden salad serving fork and spoon, all with hollow sterling handles. Also included is one teaspoon by Alvin in the Frederick Habensack designed Viking pattern, first introduced in 1906, which has a personalized engraving on the handle. The set comes in a wooden flatware chest with red felt-like interior lining.
