A watercolor painting on paper by American artist Charles G. Blaylock (1937-2006). This still life painting depicts a small wooden barrel and a green-striped gourd on a wooden surface in front of a wall with severely chipping and peeled red paint. It is signed and dated ‘1971’ to the lower right corner in paint and presented behind a triple layered mat and glass in a gold tone wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- some scratches to the wood frame; minor water damage to paper backing; discoloration to pink mat.
