A gouache and watercolor painting on paper of New York City theaters. This piece depicts a line of theaters and signs, the marquee on the centermost building reading ‘Anna Held in Miss Innocence.’ A line of spotlights are visible against the night sky to the background of the unsigned composition, which is matted under glass in a metal frame.

Condition

- some residue to the glass; discoloration and tarnishing to the metal frame; discoloration and water damage to the verso; the frame is slightly loose in the lower left corner; hanging hardware appears to have been removed.
