A Federal style walnut writing desk by Kittinger Furniture Company of Buffalo, NY. This rectangular desk features a deep brown leather inset top with gilded, embossed border over a central pencil drawer including key hole escutcheon and two brass pulls above an arched knee-hole opening. Two drawers flank either side. A ‘faux’ drawer paneling is seen to the front. The case stands on classical cylindrical reeded legs ending on brass capped caster wheels.
