A bronze bust sculpture of King George V produced by Elkington & Co. London cast after well-listed English sculptor Sydney March (1876–1968). This bust depicts the British King wearing military regalia with a stately gaze. The sculpture is signed in-mold by March and marked in-mold ‘Elkington & Co. London, 1911.’

Sydney March was born to a family of sculptors in England in 1876. He is most well-known for his depictions of the British Royal family and of war memorial and with his siblings established studios and a metal foundry at the family home of Goddendene in Locksbottom, Farnborough after 1901. The siblings collaborated on various sculptures and monuments throughout their lifetimes.
