Vintage Signed Oil on Canvas Board Naive Painting of Ship
Item Details
A 1955 signed oil on canvas board painting of a ship at sea. The painting, rendered in a naive style, features a wooden ship being tossed about on the waves. It is dated and appears to be signed ‘John Dorsey’ to the lower right. Presented in a gold tone wood frame with a gesso finish and a hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- accretion to surface of painting and frame. Several small chips to gesso finish of frame.
