Vintage Villeroy & Boch Heinrich "The Russian Fairy Tales" Collectible Plates

A set of eight vintage limited edition collectible plates by Villeroy & Boch Heinrich. Each plate features an illustration by Boris Zvorykin of a classic Russian fairy tale. Included are scenes from Maria Morevna, The Snow Maiden, Vassilissa The Fair, and The Firebird (Der Feuervogel. The plates boast a detailed vignette to the well with an elaborate polychrome geometric band to the rim. They are finished with gilt trim, numbered and inscribed to the verso in either English or German. They bear the Villeroy & Boch Heinrich logo and are finished with hardware for hanging. This series was produced between 1980-1983.

- minor marks and faint scratches throughout consistent with gentle use.
