A hand-knotted Persian Mehriban accent rug. This wool accent rug is rendered in a palette of indigo, cranberry, powder blue, ivory, olive, rose, and ochre. The indigo colored field features a central floral medallion with radiating flower sprays and motifs, along with bouquets to each spandrel. Framing the field is a main herati patterned border with a floral meander guard border with notched corners with a vase motif. Finishing the rug are overcast selvedges to the short edges and a natural warp fringe to the long ends. Labeled to the underside.
