Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian Hamadan carpet runner. This wool rug features an allover herati pattern incorporating palmettes, flowers, diamonds, foliage, and bird figures over a mocha-colored field with small, cream-colored spandrels. The palette is mocha, terracotta, gray, and camel with highlights in royal blue, blush, and coral. Framing the field are three borders, including a Lambalo meander border grounded in camel, featuring flowers, split leaves, and quatrefoil square motifs. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short cotton warp fringe. It is labeled ‘Made in Iran’ on the reverse.
