Antique English Oak Gateleg Table, Circa 18th Century
Item Details
An antique English oak gate leg table, circa 18th century. The table features a rectangular top with rounded ends flanked by a pair of demilune drop leaves above a straight apron with a beaded, lower edge. It rises on four stationary, block-and-turned legs joined by a box stretcher and ending in cylindrical feet. Supporting the drop leaves are two matching swing legs, one of which is inscribed with a mark appearing to read ‘fb’.

Condition
- refinished; top with some stains/discolored spots; hinges reset; some former pest damage (worming); stretchers with some finish losses/marks; small/minor patch to edge of one drop leaf and to one stretcher; a couple feet with chips/losses; other scattered surface wear and imperfections as would be expected.

- measured with leaves folded down; when opened, it is 51" D.
