A vintage hand knotted Persian Kashan area rug. This wool rug features a floral center medallion in a palette of blues, greens, pink, scarlet and white on a lozenge-shaped field. The field is bounded by floral spandrels and surrounded by a principally blue compound border within a red guard border. The far ends have close cropped off-white fringe, and the rug is unmarked.
