An oil painting on board by N. Winston. This piece depicts a boy reading in a wagon harnessed to three dogs on a dirt lane, in a grassy landscape against a cloudy blue sky. The work is signed by hand to the lower left. It is presented in a gold tone wood frame without glass, wired to hang.

- mild discoloration to image overall; some minor paint loss toward lower center of image; moderate wear to frame; slight separation at corners; inscription to the verso.
