A limited edition giclee print after Marc Chagall’s (1887-1985) Dancer and Flutist. This image depicts a female dancer on stage with a bouquet of flowers, near a small horse, a flutist in blue, a trapeze swinger, and several other performers. A seated audience in a theater with a balcony are visible in the background. There is a facsimile signature reading ‘Marc Chagall’ in the lower right, and the work is numbered ‘XLII/CCLXXV’, or 42 in an edition of 275, in graphite by an unknown hand in the lower left. An in-plate copyright in the lower left reads ‘Leon Amiel 2003’. The print is presented under glass with a white mat and gold tone liner in a gold tone wood and gesso frame with oak leaf motif. A certificate of authenticity is mounted to the verso along with a hanging wire.
Condition
- very mild discoloration to image; slight warping to ground; mild wear to frame.
