Vintage Victrola Figured Walnut Credenza

A vintage Victrola figured walnut credenza. This Victor Talking Machine Company Victrola Model VV 8-30, better known as the Orthophonic Credenza was introduced in 1925 at a cost of $275 and then quickly raised to $300 due to popularity. This particular machine was produced in 1927 according to the serial number: 55813. There were 86,000 phonographs of this model made, representing only 1.1% of total production of the company. On the inside the cabinet lid is the original Nipper dog with ‘His Master’s Voice’ logo dating from about 1906. Near the turn table with its original gold plated hardware, is the metal plate with the serial number and model information. Comes with the original key and cranking arm, as well as a small collection of records. Marked numerous times inside the cabinet.
